¿Mari Trini? ¿Por qué... a mí? Por siacaso, Roberto Carlos es el cantante brasilero, no el delantero de pobre desempeño el pasado mundial.

FREDY GAMBETTA
POEMAS CON MÚSICA DE FONDO

“ La luna arriba,
alumbra tu silencio …”
“ a mis años me estoy enamorando,
tengo el pelo completamente blanco,
pero voy a sacar juventud,
de mi pasado…”
(Canción Mexicana)
“ recorre estos poemas
el fantasma de una ilusión...”
2004

UNO
Sólo, absolutamente.
En la canción
tu recuerdo.
Las primeras horas
de la tarde,
la postrer locura
de amarte.
La vida pasa.

DOS
He pedido Camel,
a un radio taxi.
Tocan a la puerta.
Tú, no eres.
La soledad
y el desamor,
buscan compañía.

TRES
“Te amaré, te amo y te querré”.
Es MARI TRINI,
voz que no conoces.
Algún día la encontrarás
en la hojarasca
que olvide este huracán.
Qué difícil hablar de amor,
así.

CUATRO
En las horas que vendrán
por la tierra, en el invierno
que vivas junto al mar
llevarás el recuerdo del calor
que te reservo.
En clave,
en el insondable misterio.
Sólo tú.

CINCO
“ Qué será de ti,
necesito que me cuentes
de tus días”
Dice ROBERTO CARLOS.
Cambiaste mi paz,
sin buscarlo.
Corre el tiempo,
voraz en mi contra.
¿ Qué será de ti?

SEIS
“ Cómo quisiera ser un dios
para traerte junto a mí”.
Deseo vano.
LOS GALOS, otro tiempo el mío,
pleno.
Abrigarte en una canción,
con palabras,
con la música que ignoras.

SIETE
“ Vendaval sin rumbo
por seguir soñando
un imposible para el corazón”.
OLIMPO CÁRDENAS rompe
las medallas de la noche.
No soy para ti un nombre,
entre los miles de nombres
de la tierra.

OCHO
“ Buenas noches, mi amor,
buenas noches, Dios te guarde”
Entre los claros anillos,
canta ROBERTO YANÉS.
Tú ves el amanecer.
No sé si a pesar tuyo,
algunas veces.
Dios te guarde.

NUEVE
“ Me muero por tener algo contigo,
me cuesta ser tu amigo”.
¿ Hasta cuándo?
Otra vez la marca
permanente del silencio.
A veces un beso,
cibernético.
MARÍA MARTHA me recuerda
las saudades de este amor.
¿ Será realmente un desatino?

DIEZ
“ Tu nombre
para mí es el más bello poema
que el amor ha creado”.
Lo dice ADAMO.
“ Con tu nombre fundida,
ha quedado mi vida”
Habrá estado escrito así,
en la ruta de los astros
tiránicos.

ONCE
“ Viento díle a la lluvia
que quiero volar y volar ”
Huir de esta cueva,
encadenada al silencio.
Conoces de estas horas.
El tormento de no verte.
LOS GATOS me acompañan
a buscar “ese nombre
– el tuyo –
que en la arena
me hace pensar en ti”

DOCE
“ Llorarás cuando veas
que en el camino las cosas quedan
y no van más ”
En el fondo – fondo de la noche
entre nubes de incienso
y tabaco LOS IRACUNDOS
cantan mi grito desgarrado.
Tal vez una premonición.
Lo que el arcano reserva
al calor que nunca tuve.
Que busco con tenacidad
de mendigo.

TRECE
“ Te ví, te ví,
yo no buscaba a nadie
y te ví”
CAETANO VELOSO me interpreta
en este invierno azul agónico,
como algunas veces tus palabras.
Apareciste entre la gente
en huerto nuevo,
radiante.
Como un sueño
o una estrella fugaz.
Yo no buscaba a nadie,
y te ví.

CATORCE
“ Pajarito quebrado y solo
si no te encuentro yo
¿ qué será de ti ? ”
Pregunto con FABIO.
No puedo adivinarlo.
Es larga la noche.
Nuestro senderos se cruzan
sin tocarse.
Sin puerto y sin orillas.
Por ahí un oasis
Refresca apenas el gris silencio
De las horas.
¿ Qué será de ti ?
Pajarito quebrado y solo.

QUINCE
“… el creer que soy parte de tus sueños,
me devuelve la alegría…”
Parte de tus sueños,
un instante de tu vida.
Poco pido mientras cae la tarde
y diviso la negra barca entrando
al puerto con velas desplegadas.
Canta JULIO IGLESIAS.
“ por un beso nada más,
por un beso de tu boca,
cualquier felicidad sería poca ”
Versos simples.
Música de fondo para estos poemas.
Sin destino.

DIECISEIS
“ Tú no sabes que se siente
cuando alguien que tu quieres
no te quiere.
Quién diría que a mis años
por tu culpa
yo me siento un pobre diablo ”
Otra vez IGLESIAS,
Moderno trovador.
Abre mis ojos.
Anuncia que llegó la noche.
Debo renunciar.
Salir al filo de las azoteas.
Dejar para siempre
el vano sueño.
A lo mío volver.
Nunca más hacerme daño.
No insistir en golpear la misma
roca.
Dejar florecer las flores
sin mi sombra.
Basta ¡ Todo pasa,
Un trago, el humo del cigarro,
mis sangrantes poemas
destinados al olvido.
Hasta siempre,
no fue mi hora.
“ ¿Quién no escribió un poema,
huyendo de la soledad ? ”
MARI TRINI, otra vez.
Ahora y siempre.
Adios.

Terrible News Today, Oh Boy.

Pink Floyd's Syd died over the weekend. If you consider that he just recorded one album with Pink Floyd, Piper At The Gates Of Dawn, and then he totally disappeared, you gotta give him credit. He influenced Floyd's work in every way: he made them descend into the human being's deep madness and inspired Roger Waters to write the lyrics of Dark Side Of The Moon, Wish You Were Here, and The Wall.

Wish You Were Here is an entire album made for him. Instead of being a depressive and negative document of Barrett's insanity, it's an open invitation for him to either join the band or continue writing and performing his creative songs for an audience thirsty of creativity.

Syd Barrett, Founding Member of Pink Floyd, Dies at 60

(07-11) 09:03 PDT LONDON, United Kingdom (AP) --

Syd Barrett, the troubled Pink Floyd co-founder who spent his last years in reclusive anonymity, has died, the band said Tuesday. He was 60.
A spokeswoman for the band said Barrett died several days ago, but she did not disclose the cause of death. Barrett had suffered from diabetes for years.

The surviving members of Pink Floyd, David Gilmour, Nick Mason, Roger Waters and Richard Wright, said they were "very upset and sad to learn of Syd Barrett's death."

"Syd was the guiding light of the early band lineup and leaves a legacy which continues to inspire," they said in a statement.

Barrett co-founded Pink Floyd in 1965 with Waters, Mason and Wright, and wrote many of the band's early songs. The group's jazz-infused rock and drug-laced, multimedia "happenings" made them darlings of the London psychedelic scene. The 1967 album "The Piper at the Gates of Dawn" — largely written by Barrett, who also played guitar — was a commercial and critical hit.

But Barrett suffered from mental instability, exacerbated by his use of LSD. His behavior grew increasingly erratic, and he left the group in 1968 — five years before the release of Pink Floyd's most popular album, "Dark Side of the Moon" — to be replaced by Gilmour.

Barrett released two solo albums, "The Madcap Laughs" and "Barrett", but soon withdrew from the music business altogether. An album of previously unreleased material, "Opel," was issued in 1988.

He reverted to his real name, Roger Barrett, and spent much of the rest of his life living quietly in his hometown of Cambridge, England. Moving into his mother's suburban house, he passed the time painting and tending the garden. His former bandmates made sure Barrett continued to receive royalties from his work with Pink Floyd.

He was a familiar figure to neighbors, often seen cycling or walking to the corner store, but rarely spoke to the fans and journalists who sought him out over the years.
Despite his brief career, Barrett's fragile, wistful songs influenced many musicians, from David Bowie — who covered the Barrett track "See Emily Play" — to the other members of Pink Floyd, who recorded the album "Wish You Were Here" as a tribute to their troubled bandmate.
It contained the song "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" — "Remember when you were young, you shone like the sun." The band also dwelt on themes of mental illness on the albums "Dark Side of the Moon" and "The Wall."

The band spokeswoman said a small, private funeral would be held.

Syd Barrett of Pink Floyd dies, aged 60

HAMISH BROWN

The founding lead singer of Pink Floyd Syd Barrett has died at his Cambridge home from diabetes. He was 60.

Despite only recording one album with Pink Floyd and a handful of solo releases following his departure from the group, his influence on pop music is generally acknowledged to enormous.Barret had not released any new material since 1972 and since his departure from public life led a quiet and reclusive existence in Cambridge. Through time, he has become a celebrated but tragic figure, reknowned as much for his reputation as one of the first drug-casualties as for his music.

It's hard for me to write about this piece of the past that only me and just me understands and feels. Once upon a time there was the perfect radio station for me. Broadcasting from Arica's Mull, Radio Sol featured the coolest music and the most amazing DJ voices. Radio Sol, somehow, created an influence in my way of speaking when I create the little podcasts more and more people enjoy every week. Thank you, and thank you Radio Sol.

The station was owned by the Northern Catholic University of Chile, and it started broadcasting on January 1990. Arica and Iquique, two of the most upper-northern cities of Chile, listened to it every day during, at least, six years. In 1998 or 1999, Radio Sol stopped their broadcast in Arica and moved to Iquique with a different format, something more actual and less retro. But hell, Radio Sol had Sunday specials any top radio station would love to feature. It was in Radio Sol where I listened to Pat Metheny Group for the first time with a full-length broadcast of their 1993 live album The Road To You, where I discovered Jamiroquai with "Emergency On Planet Earth" and other sweet sounds like Holland's Ten Sharp ("You") and Robin S ("Lots Of Love".) I just wish you guys were listening.

They would play Al Stewart, Wings, Pink Floyd, Beach Boys, Rolling Stones, Alan Parsons Project, Queen and make specials with lots of gusto and elegance. They knew what they were talking about and their voices were so soothing and intelligent you wouldn't think they were from South America. Radio Sol was like a haven for Classic Rock fans who wouldn't mind discover new artists, not only new but good.

It makes me sad to see what Radio Sol has turned into now. Cheesy music and religious messages on Saturday mornings. Most important of all, its signal doesn't reach my hometown of Tacna, Peru, anymore. The magic of growing into my twenties and discovering amazing music by the beautiful beach of Boca Del Rio.

The message of Radio Sol reached me and made me realize how vast the music can be, and how it can easily cross borders, destroy prejudices and eliminate differences between people. Radio Sol was the equivalent of XERF, the Mexican radio station where Wolfman Jack introduced rock and roll to an American society afraid of 100000 watts of power.

Since I wish everybody had the magic of that sound, and accepting that I still carry the Radio Sol badge in my voice, I hope you guys like the tribute podcast I made for July 4, 2006. Enjoy: www.evoca.com/cacaorock
